“Fade into You” was the highest charting song from alternative rock/dream pop group Mazzy Star. The song was written by lyricist Hope Sandoval and composer David Roback, who also served as producer. The song made the Top 5 of Billboard’s Modern Rock chart in 1994, peaking at number three, and is Mazzy Star’s only single to make the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #44. The song also charted at #48 on the UK Singles Chart.
